Field Trip Procedures & Info

Lincoln Park Zoo wishes to extend special thanks to the Polk Bros. Foundation for endowing and directly supporting the zoo's teacher, student and community outreach education programs. These initiatives are now conducted under the auspices of the Polk Bros. Education Institute of Lincoln Park Zoo.

Field Trip General Information

Hours: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. every day
Admission: Free
Location: 2200 N. Cannon Drive, Chicago, IL 60614
Lakeshore Drive and Fullerton Parkway

Chaperones:

At least one adult chaperone for every 10 students in grades 2-12 and one adult chaperone for every 5 students in grades K-1 must be provided.

Lunches:

No reservations are taken for lunch areas. First-come, first-served indoor lunch seating is available from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. year-round in the upper level of the Antelope / Zebra Area. Outdoor seating is available in the picnic Tent from May 1 - October 30. Storage lockers are available at Gateway Pavillion.

Bus Parking

Student drop-off and pick-up permitted only at the east zoo entrance on Cannon Drive. Bus parking is not allowed on zoo grounds or on any streets or areas surrounding Lincoln Park Zoo. Free bus parking locations will be included in your information packet.
